Free Car or Car Leasing

Published by jakob under Uncategorized

Car leasing is an increasingly popular method of car finance. There are many car leasing companies which are offering both business and personal car leasing.

The concept behind car leasing is straightforward. You pay a monthly sum over a period but you never actually own the car. At the end of the term you simply hand the car back in or alternatively take out a new lease, potentially on a new vehicle.

Car leasing allows you to change your vehicle regularly and consequently avoid the costs of running an older car. This is where cheap car leasing becomes a cost effective option - it’s great for short-term results and will work out cheaper than a personal car loan. In the medium term the two methods work out roughly the same, while in the longer term it will prove cheaper to buy. You then hand the car back. By contrast, with a loan you will pay out the full value of the car eventually plus the interest. So car leasing is a cheaper option over a shorter period.

There are many disadvantages for car leasing. You never own the car. It’s difficult to settle early. If you have a cash influx and want to settle your leasing early you will normally have to pay the interest charges for the remaining months of your contract. It is difficult to calculate the annual mileage and other charges. Be wary that underestimating your mileage will mean you will face additional fees. It is important to accurately calculate your annual mileage in order to determine the estimated cost of the vehicle and therefore the monthly repayment you will make. Also be aware that you could be charged for damage to the car.

In fact, in these days when many advertising companies will offer the free car for their advertising concern, you do not need to bother yourself by taking the car leasing. Why not choose an easier way to get a car to drive? What you need to is to send your application if you are 18 years old and have a driver’s license. If you have interest, you can research on the Internet. There is much information about the companies who offer these programs. You should choose one which is best for you and fill in the forma as required. And then the companies will check your background information and decide if you are qualified. You do not need pay in the programs of free car except the fee of oil and car insurance.

HHO Gas Conversion Kit - How to Create a HHO Gas Conversion Kit to Power Your Car

Published by jakob under Uncategorized

You must have heard about the recent news about HHO gas conversion kit. It is basically a car kit that can be used to power your car with water. If not, read on and you will find out more.

The scientific principle behind this new technology is not new and has already been discovered about a century back. The whole “run a car on water” technology makes use of Brown’s gas or HHO which is extracted from water through electrolysis. Brown’s gas is a clean gas that aids the combustion of gasoline in our engines which is otherwise inefficient.

Benefits of Using HHO Gas Conversion Kit

The end results of using such Brown’s gas kits on our cars are these:

1. Improved gas mileage of more than 15%
2. A cleaner engine with lesser carbon deposits ie unburned fuel
3. A longer lasting engine
4. Lesser noise from engine and knocks
5. Tax claims from IRS from driving an environmentally friendly vehicle
6. Fuel cost savings

Rather than to spend money purchasing a hybrid car, why not spend less than $90 and build a HHO gas conversion kit for yourself?

All the parts are built using simple off the shelf fittings from local hardware stores. The car kit can be assembled within a few hours. You can set aside 2 to 3 hours during the weekend to build it.

With the rising gas prices nowadays, hitting way above $4 per gallon, converting your car to run on water is a wise decision to make.

Thousands of drivers have already fitted their vehicles with these kits and benefiting from the improved gas mileage and lower fuel costs.

Perhaps it is time for you to build one such HHO gas conversion kit for your car to run on water fuel today.

Build your HHO hydrogen generator easily with this step by step manual on how to run your car on water for less than $150.

VXR - Vauxhall Gives You Six of the Best

Published by jakob under Uncategorized

I’m sure most people who have even a vague interest in Cars must have heard of the Vauxhall VXR8 also known as the Monaro this is Vauxhalls insane muscle car that defiantly flys in the face of current motoring trends. Well I’ve discovered there is an entire VXR family a sort of family from hell if you like. Vauxhalls slightly understated corporate statement goes something like “VXR takes the experience, knowledge and passion gained from racing and crystallises it into a range of high performance road cars”

Well they’re not kidding! A few minutes spent online led me to a high octane fuelled world where I became entranced by a staggering array of performance figures that left me in awe and amazement, well almost.

You see Vauxhall did not stop at the VXR8 oh no they have created a range that means everyone can experience blistering performance right across the spectrum from the ubiquitous hot hatch to the family saloon and even the MPV all receive an injection of pure adrenaline.

Young men with the money to afford the insurance will be rubbing their hands with glee at the prospect of the Corsa VXR which is the smallest model to get the VXR treatment.

It comes with a 1.6 litre 4 cylinder Turbo-charged engine that produces 192 PS and 230NM of torque which increases for five seconds to over 260NM when you apply the turbo over boost. This adds up to a 0-60mph time of 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 140mph. Unlike hot hatches of yesteryear advances in braking means that this will actually stop when you apply the brakes thanks to large diameter disc brakes front and rear you get nice blue calipers as well so no need to get your spray paint out lads.

The Corsa has lowered sports suspension and switchable Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) including Traction Control for those who like to show their road skills without assistance. 17″ Alloy wheels come as standard with ultra-low profile tyres and optional 18″ V spoke Alloys with even lower profile tyres can be had to increase your small but imposing presence round town or more likely in shopping mall car parks after hours.

Next on the list is the Astra which Vauxhall claim to be their hottest hatch ever and then some! The 2.0 litre 4 cylinder Ecotec comes with an updated Turbocharger producing 240 PS and 320NM of torque which propels you from 0-60 in 6.2 seconds and gives a top speed of 152mph. The Astra comes with a centrally mounted trapezoidal tuned sports exhaust, close ratio six-speed gearbox and large diameter disc brakes finished off with 18″ or 19″ Alloys.

The Vectra has always been a favourite with fleet buyers but not sure if they would let you loose in one of these. The VXR gets a 2.8 litre 24valve V6 engine with a twin scroll Turbocharger no less. Those in the know will tell you that this is normally reserved for rally cars and such like, what it means is 280PS and 355MN of torque. 0-60 comes in 6.1 seconds and top speed is restricted to 155mph.

You would think Vauxhall would leave it here but even the Meriva and Zafira have received the VXR treatment. These are the popular MPV models which have been given the potential to make you the fastest Mum or Dad on the school run, not sure if the kids will appreciate Recaro sports seats no doubt they will be busy getting food all over them. It is always handy to know that by the time you have loaded up all their clobber and then gone back home to get the conveniently forgotten sports kit you will still arrive at the school gates before you left!

Well I could not finish without giving the VXR8 a mention, Vauxhall have made some recent “tweaks” to the performance and although they have published an eye watering 0-60 time of 4.9 seconds they have kept the top speed a bit quiet needless to say it is very fast. They have been up front about the CO2 emissions though, something like 365 g/km oops! Never mind.

Jon Barlow has a frenetic week looking at the VXR8 and in the process discovers the entire Vauxhall VXR range.

Electric Cars to the Rescue

Published by jakob under Uncategorized

With growing concern about the environment and dependency on foreign oil and complimenting the 30% annual growth of the wind turbine and solar power industries, more interest and money is being put into the development of electric cars. While offerings have been limited to golf cart style vehicles since the inception in 1951, some of the new electric vehicles, EVs, can travel at highway speeds for over 200 miles and recharge in 8 hours. A hundred mile range is now commonplace.

Its not as if golf carts haven’t been used for basic transportation in addition to making golf more accessible to the elderly or less physically empowered. They have become a standard mode of transportation for many communities and large corporate and college campuses. Some towns have incorporated them into their police patrols.

For an EV to become widely accepted as a replacement for gasoline-powered cars, it must look like, perform, and have the same features. People will not pay the same or more money for less. The best current example of this is Telsa. Telsa is currently offering a two-seat roadster that looks similar to a Ferrari. It will take you from 0 to 60 in under 4 seconds, which beats almost anything else on the road. It will go 125mph and 220 miles between charges. Its $100,000 price tag means that it won’t be adopted as the car of the masses.

A hybrid that runs on batteries for 40 miles and then switches to gasoline should not be confused with an EV. An EV runs on electricity and nothing else. Some EVs include solar panels to run the electronics and comfort features when the vehicle is turned off and some may incorporate butane or gasoline powered generators for battery charging purposes, but an EV does not run on fossil fuels.

Besides Telsa, there are a number of EVs in the $20,000 range. Some of the EV manufacturers include Zenn Motor Company, TH!NK, Phoenix Motorcars, ZAP!, Miles Electric Vehicles, Columbia ParCar, and Aptera. Of these offerings, Miles and Phoenix have vehicles that look the most like what we are used to. The sexiest futuristic offering comes from Aptera. Aptera’s technology is state-of-the-art and the styling is ahead of its time. ZAP! Also offers and electric scooter for about $3500 that would be good for school transportation and short errands around town.

All of these vehicles offer around 100 mile ranges at highway speeds and overnight charging. They are not all approved for highway use so, before you plunk down $20K to make your work commute green with less green expended, check to make sure that the EV of your choice is certified to sit in highway backups.

These are times when people and the environment are suffering from the high price of gas and pollution, but these are also exciting times as technology gears up and comes to the rescue. The EV industry will not only make our air cleaner and our pocketbooks fuller, most likely, but drive our economy to recovery as well.

A Simple Method For Soundproofing Your Car, Truck Or Motor Home

Published by jakob under Uncategorized

What you may not realize is that most of the noise you hear when driving is coming either from your engine or from your tires and shock absorbers as you travel along the pavement. These vibrations and noise your engine, shocks, and tires make pass directly through the steel hood of your vehicle and the glass of its windshield, and into the passenger compartment.

Creating A Hood Template For Soundproofing Your Car, Truck, Or Motor Home
The fiberglass shield which is located on the hood’s underside is not there for noise control; its simply there to stop the heat from you engine from damaging the hood’s paint. So you can safely remover the fiberglass matt, clean the underside of the hood, and use a good glue to attach a mat of 1″ vinyl nitrile closed cell foam. America Mat is great, and you can simply make a template by making a pencil tracing of the shape of your hood’s underside on butcher paper, being careful to accurately get its contours and edges.

Once you have your template, use an electric meat carving knife, which you can pick up for between nine and twelve dollars at a Wal-Mart if you don’t already have on in the kitchen. Having one of these knives will make soundproofing your car, truck, or motor home completely much simpler. Simply place your hood template on top of the America mat and use the carving knife to cut along its outlines.

Even if you’ve already cleaned the paint on the underside of your hood, wipe it down well with a towel and alcohol, and if necessary, use an electric sander and fine sandpaper to roughen its surface, first placing a drop cloth on your engine to keep sand grit from contaminating it. By sanding, you will ensure that your mat adhesive adheres properly to the hood.

Attaching The American Mat
Spray a good contact cement, like 3M’s Supper 77, both on the smooth surface of the American mat and on the underside of the vehicle’s hood, and wait for the amount of time recommended on the contact cement container for the adhesive spray to become tacky. Position the mat on the underside of the hood, and tape it in place until it is completely secure.

Once the adhesive is dry, you can remove the tape, shut the hood, and be on your way! The newly-installed America mat will withstand temperatures of as high as 240°F, protect your hood the way the old fiberglass did, and last as long as your vehicle does!

This method of sound wave transmission your car, truck, motor home will work no matter the size of your vehicle, and America mat has been used to keep noise out of the “doghouse” of many a motor coach home!

A Motorists Guide to Dealing With Cyclists

Published by jakob under Uncategorized

As fuel prices continue to rise and people in general become more concerned for the environment the number of cyclists on the road is increasing. However, this increase in popularity seems to have hardened the view held by numerous drivers that cyclists are little more than an annoyance.

It is true that some cyclists have scant regards for traffic laws, the ignoring of traffic lights being one such example, which fuels the bad feeling. However by choosing the cycle over the car the cyclist is making our already congested roads less congested. Us drivers owe them that at least. The more pleasant the cycling experience the more people will cycle so when driving follow this guide and give cyclists a break.

Overtaking a cyclist - Because a cyclists rides close to the edge of the road they may swerve to avoid a drain or pothole. This can be dangerous when being overtaken by a car or other vehicle so when overtaking a cyclists try and leave as much space as possible. This will also decrease the power of the wind you vehicle makes.

In slow moving traffic - a cyclist may overtake you on your inside so make sure you check your left mirror before pulling into the kerb or turning left.

At roundabouts - cyclists will often feel safer staying in the left hand lane when turning right. So when waiting at a roundabout show caution whenever you see a cyclist on the roundabout. Give them the space and time to be safe.

Left turns - never overtake a cyclist just before a left turn so you have to cut in front to make the turn. If see a cyclist on your approach to a left turn reduce your speed and let the cyclist make the turning.

County lanes - be mindful of cyclists whilst driving on country lanes. These lanes have twist and turns that can easily conceal a cyclist.

Driving at night - although cyclist should have lights turned on at night and at dusk not all of them do so. It is also possible for their lights to be drowned out by the much more powerful lights of cars and other vehicles.

In windy weather - strong winds can make it difficult for cyclists to keep going in a straight line so always leave them more space when overtaking them.

Cycle lanes - remember you must not drive or park in a cycle lane marked by a solid white line during the times of its operation. You can park or drive in a cycle lane that is marked by a broken white line but only do so if you have to.

How To Locate Repossessed Vehicles For Sale

Published by jakob under Uncategorized

You may have heard that you can get repossessed vehicles for sale at a fraction of the market price. It will be true if you know where to find these sales, how to go about getting the best bargain and avoid being scammed.

Repossessed vehicles for sale typically come from sources like cars repossessed by banks or impounded by the police. The job to repossess and store these vehicles is outsourced to a third party who will hold auctions or sales to sell off these cars. Therefore, the first key is to be able to locate these auctions or sale locations.

Due to the fact it can a very lucrative form of business, these auctions were not widely publicized. Most of the ones involved in the auctions where those within the trade as they will buy these cars at very low prices and later on sell them at a higher margin after some refurbishing if necessary.

Fortunately, there are online databases that provide these information. These services allow you to search for repossessed vehicles for sale both within your state as well as nationwide. You can even find deals on SUVs and trucks.

A few to note before you commit to buy a repossessed car. Firstly, check the condition of the vehicle. As these vehicles can come from any source, they may or may not be well maintained. In my opinion, it will be good if you can bring someone who can help to inspect the automobile before you make the purchase. Secondly, before you sign on the dotted line, be sure to read the fine prints to ensure you know what you are buying. There may or may not be hidden costs, lapsed warranty or information like damages not covered by guarantees written within.

In order to save time and effort, go for online listing of repossessed vehicles for sale in order to locate the source and buy direct from them.

George Tho is a webmaster and reviewer of online services. Read his review on an online listing that contains database of repossessed vehicles for sale in US, Canada, Australia and parts of Europe here.
